Welcome to Mt. Zion Episcopal Church
in
Hedgesville, West Virginia
Mt. Zion sits in the middle of tiny, old town
Hedgesville--a small, historic red brick church with its doors wide open to visitors and new members alike. Even George
Washington worshipped here!

Mt. Zion is part of the Episcopal Diocese of West
Virginia. As such, we are involved in the church's mission in the community. We believe God calls each of
us to carry our faith into the wider world and to respond to the needs we recognize there.
Mt. Zion is the Mother Church in this area of what was once
Virginia. Its history dates to the late 18th century. For more details use the Our History link to the left.
